Nursery for 2, 3 and 4 year olds

At the heart of Portman Early childhood Centre is our nursery school.  Like the rest of the centre, the school has a friendly and stimulating atmosphere where children learn about themselves and the world around them.

The nursery school is a Community School for Children from 2 upwards. The school is for children who live close to the centre, or who have brothers or sisters already attending, or who have a particular medical or social need. Attendance is free but we charge for provision outside the school year.

We provide education and care for children aged 2 to 5.  Your child can attend the morning or afternoon sessions and once your child is settled and happy they will be offered a full day in addition to their morning and afternoon sessions.

Each child has a family worker, who will visit you at your home before your child begins at nursery and will get to know you and your child.

As well and the morning and afternoon sessions we provide a Breakfast Club from 8am to 9:15am, and an After School Club from 3:30pm to 6pm.

You can apply for a place at the Nursery, pick up an application pack from the centre or download our nursery application form and send it to epermison@portmancentre.co.uk  . We allocate places on the basis of children meeting the City of Westminster Council’s school admission policy, rather than how long they have been waiting.
